I don't know my around PHP and JS that well, but push come to shove if no one else is interested, I may eventually just attempt this myself.

However, if there is someone more capable and willing, hopefully they can give this a go.

I'd love to see someone replace all the pop-up code with something like Litbox. For one, many people have pop-up blockers, and Litbox is just so much nicer.

I'm trying to get this to work with pictures and so far I have the structure of the files down by looking at how the person did it for the LightBox mod for zencart.

Thanks! Lightbox is nice, but both Lightbox 2 and Litbox are even better.

Ideally I'd like to see a script that combines:

* The window in Litbox that you can drag with translucency
* The ability to go Prev-Next through a series like Lightbox 2
* The loading/transition effect from Lightbox 2

I also like how in Litbox you can load interactive objects into the window, and pass information back. Lightbox is just a fairly simple image box.

Litbox seems a better overall replacement for pop-ups.

I hope someone can come along and offer some help with the combinations with Lightbox 2 effects because so far I still can't get the pictures to show up (only words). But I will keep looking at how lightbox works and try to do something similiar to get litbox to work.

I've found another solution other than LITBox - openpopups for what I wanted to do. they're very similiar to LITBox just no darkening background nor opacity features. I'm still trying to get it to work with flash though.

I tried openpopups and it won't work at all in Firefox 3.

Litbox supports Flash out of the box, and works on every browser I've been able to throw at it.

I also discovered a new rewrite of Lightbox 2 that adds slideshow support, and more keyboard controls.

Have you considered that FF3 might be buggy?

I've been using FF3 nightly builds for well over a year with practically no issues.

FF3 is ACID compliant. FF2 isn't. So technically, FF3 more correctly renders CSS and XHTML.

If a browser passes ACID tests, and yet code won't render properly in it, then I'm hestitant to blame the browser.
