Remove/Delete "Sales Message Goes Here" reformats site

I followed these exact instructions


Open the includes/languages/ENGLISH/header.php file. Find the following line of colde:

define ('HEADER_SALES_TEXT', 'Tagline Here');

Delete the tagline text with your own text, making sure that the single quote marks are not left out.

Save the edited file to includes/languages/ENGLISH/CUSTOM/header.php

I have tried this several times, both by deleting the words Tagline Here, and by replacing them with something else. I want them deleted.

My problem is that when I follow these instructions and upload the file to includes/languages/ENGLISH/CUSTOM/header.php

it doesn't change or remove the 'Tagline here' text.

If I upload it to includes/languages/ENGLISH/classic/header.php

it does remove the text but changes the format of the pages. Instead of being centered, they are all over to the left, and all the text has lost its formatting.

I have ordered the book (top right) but I haven't received it yet. meanwhile I just wanted to get the basics going.

Does anyone have a clue?

If your custom template is called:
testing

You would have a directory:
/includes/templates/testing

For the language files you would need:
/includes/languages/english/testing

You would copy the original file:
/includes/languages/english/header.php

to your templates and overrides directory:
/includes/languages/english/testing/header.php

Note: all directories and filenames are case sensative ...

THANK YOU! I think I understand now. I figured it was someting minor that I was overlooking. I'm off to try this.
