Default Template Monster Problem with Middle Column

    Hello Zenner's,

I am having an issue with a template monster zencart template recently purchased. I setup a default install of the template monster template and it appears fine in Firefox, but does not work in Internet Explorer.

The problem in IE seems to be that the center and right columns do not extend the width of the header. It works perfect in Firefox, but for some reason it will not work in IE.

I have tried the following solutions:

    1. Customizing the tpl_mainpage.php file as suggested in this forum to increase the width of the center column in hopes of adjusting the size of the center column.
    2. Edited the main wrapper within the CSS file in attempts to adjust the size.
    3. Tried multiple installs of Zencart 1.3.5, 1.3.6, and 1.3.7. to see if it was possibly an issue regarding the zencart release.

After all of the attempts above, I finally just installed a fresh version of of Zencart 1.3.6 therefore you guys could see what I was talking about. No files have been edited in the link above.

When I look at the demo install on template monster, it works perfect in IE, therefore its driving me nuts! I put in a help ticket with Template monster but they are a bit slow at responding.

If anyone could help me get this issue resolved I would really appreciate it.

    Frustrated Zenner

Please talk to Template Monster's Customer Service about the issue. Thanks.
Please do not PM for support issues: a private solution doesn't benefit the community.

Be careful with unsolicited advice via email or PM - Make sure the person you are talking to is a reliable source.

As kim says, Template monster would be you place to start for help w/ this issue,
they make their templates in a non standard way that makes it hard for people on this forum to trouble shoot the issues.
There is a user on this forum, tmonster who works for Template Monster. He has been helpful to people who have had bad luck w/ Template monsters support.
This said I did take a quick look at your site and you have what are known as 'box model' issues. basically IE is backwards from every other browser on how it does measuring of width. You will have to redo you math.

TM could work on their response time ... seeing how TM charges $160 for a template.

It seems that the guys from template monster have been starting to be part of this forum more and more. due to the growing concerns of more full time ZC devs. Maybe this will mean better support.
Could all of what peoples problems are w/ TM be related to an inhospitable support environment? (I really dont know. I am just saying that the seem to take fixing thing here more seriously now that the public can know about the problems that their customers are having)

Probably has a bit to do with their initial impressions as well...
