    help question Page has nudged up in IE7

    Ok, I'm a newbie and don't know a lot about html or css. I have just installed IE7 and now my page has moved up slightly, so the navigation bar with the HOME and LOGIN links is missing and there is white space under the header image (which I know will disappear once the page movement issue is solved).

    Also, the border on the sides of the page is missing, this has me a little confused and a lot frustrated...but life wasn't meant to be easy right!

    I am sure there are a few other issues with my site that I am unaware of at this point, but my aim is to get the page back to normal again.

    I hope someon can help.

    Thanks in advance.

    Tracey.

    Anybody?

    Sorry, I am sure you all have lives (unlike me), but this has me stumped. I have pretty much figured out how to customise my store thanks to this forum, but I have had no luck finding an answer to why my page has moved up in IE7.

    I am running 1.3.0. and I do plan to upgrade but will do that in the near future (unless the upgrade is required for my store to revert to normal).

    Thanks again.

    Tracey.

    This may be the wrong attitude but when this kind of thing happens to me I use browser specific stylesheets to correct the problem.

    Have a look at

    it may help...

    Red, you might try changing these lines in your stylesheet from:

    Code:
    #logoWrapper{
        background-image: url(../images/header_bg.jpg);
        background-repeat: repeat-x;
        background-color: #ffffff;
        height:150px;
        }
    to:

    Code:
    #logoWrapper{
        background-image: url(../images/header_bg.jpg);
        background-repeat: no-repeat;
        background-color: #ffffff;
        height:150px;
        }

    If that doesn't correct it, then try playing with the height in the same section of code.

    Thanks so much for your replies.

    I have spent the day fiddling with the stylesheet, and comparing it to the original.

    The page issue (in red) was in:
    Code:
    #mainWrapper {
     background-color: #ffffff;
     text-align: left;
     width: 780px;
     height: 150px;
     vertical-align: top;
     border: 1px solid #3366ff;
                    }
    So I removed the height. :)

    The border issue just needed the colour to be changed.

    Thanks again for your help. I have found a wealth of information here.
