Default moving zen cart to a virtual host with no domain

    Fellas,

Ok so I need to move a fully functional zen cart to a new domain.

    right now its

    thisDomain.net/~currentZen

    I need it to be

    thatDomain.com

I read the how to, I did it, here is the problem:

I need to run the fix_cache_key.php. The problem is the site currently doesnt have a domain and there are multiple vhosts on the same IP that this site is on. So I cannot simply go to the browser and run the file.

The server is a plesk server, I tried running it through the preview site but that was no go.

A simple seach on google shown me 3 methods on how to get this site to be live so I can make this operation but because of other clients on the same IP I cannot do any of those without risking those clients uptime, its impossible

Is there a way to run this file without needing to go to thatDomain.com/fix_cache_key.php, which doesnt really exist yet?

side note: the reason I need to do this is simply because the website doesnt look right at all. The color doesnt exist and the layout is all messed up, I gather its a stylesheet problem but it is there and loaded properly...so im guessing its this fix cache thing with the database.

    Thank you for any help

can you not navigate to this in a folder or a created sub-domain?

    http://subdomain.somedomain.com - or
    http://www.somedomain.com/somefolder

do you imply that I should create a subdomain and point it to the root of the site?

right now it is domain.com with the root of the cart at the root of that future domain name

I thought that you did not have a domain name for this?

Maybe get specific with what the names are as using domain.com is confusing???

If you are actually using "domain.com" this is not a "real" domain name and you can not address this via the www as you can not set an un-real name's name servers

    Thank you for your help.
I was able to figure this out. I could run through a zen cart setup and run the fix_cache page by simply fiddling with the preview link and fudging the browser values.

I should have mentioned that this site is a virtual host and I could not populate the stylesheet because it was being requested from domainname.com/blah/stylesheet.css.

since domainname.com pointed to a different server at the time, that explained why nothing was looking right.

Once we pointed the domain name to the virtual host on our servers it worked great.
