You CAN NOT do it at this time. The mission: How to enable our website to stay away from paypal landing pages? That is, once a customer clicks the custom buy button on our webpage, how to enable it so the customer is NOT directed to a paypal landing page, which completes their transaction?
Please do not PM for support issues: a private solution doesn't benefit the community.
Be careful with unsolicited advice via email or PM - Make sure the person you are talking to is a reliable source.
Finally, someone with a solid answer. Kobra, you are a bit confusing.
"Merchant account from the bank of my choice?" Most banks don't offer that service at all. Third parties do. You can't just walk into a bank and ask for a merchant account to accept credit card payments. They don't do that.
Then you speak of Paypal API codes. How? How specifically can I use their API codes to layer my website over theirs?
Kim, I guess it can't be done, unless we reverse engineer some of Paypal's code. I know that it can be done but I am not sure about infringing on any contracts.
Sorry that you are confused???
But from your posts you sounded to be web page savy as you have "your own" pages. Did you review my post #10 here? Those are your options...
I beg to differ - before the web this is exactly what banks provided to brick & mortar establishments a "Merchant Account""Merchant account from the bank of my choice?" Most banks don't offer that service at all. Third parties do. You can't just walk into a bank and ask for a merchant account to accept credit card payments. They don't do that.
For the web there are 3 pieces required - a site that takes payments - a Gateway processor for online processing - Lastly a merchant account(bank account) where the funds are transfered.
Is that clearer?
This is on their site and an Application Program Interface is a set of routines, protocols, and tools for building software applications. A good API makes it easier to develop a program by providing all the building blocks. A programmer puts the blocks together. Then you speak of Paypal API codes. How? How specifically can I use their API codes to layer my website over theirs?
So you use it(write programming code) to include their functions in your pages.
