Error when logging into admin

Have been setting up site and now ready to start loading product. Have just tried to go into admin and when I enter the correct UN and PW an error appears in the bottom left corner. The error in detail is:

Error: Object required
Code: 0

Have not had any problems in the past logging into admin and have not changed any settings since I last logged in.

Please help.

Well, when you do get it working, personally I would rename the admin folder something else as a security matter. (Make sure to change in the *brain fart* admin config file too.)

Thanks for your reply. We shall change admin name for security.

Requested a new password to my email which arrived and it logged into admin ok. logged out a couple of times during session and now am back with the same problem with the same error message as above. Is this a common bug that others have had problems with. As soon as I can't access admin there is nothing I can do to develop the site. What can I do to clear this problem and ensure it does not happen again. Please any advise would be much appreciated.
