Cannot Log into my Admin

I have been all over these forums search for problems with logging into the admin and nothing is working. This is a new install. Installs fine and can see catalog, but when try to log into admin, page just acts like it refreshes. When I try to resend password, it acts like it worked, but email never comes through. I have gone into the database and checked that the username and password are correct...and they are.
Does anyone have any ideas what is going on here? I have deleted and reinstalled every way possible.

Admin login problems are typically a result of odd PHP Session configuration issues or cookie problems.

If your cookies are blocked in your browser or firewall, you'll not get in. If your cookies are not getting set with the proper domain name in them, you'll not get in.
If you had any PHP configuration warnings during the installation process and ignored them, that could also be a reason for not getting in.

What version of PHP is on your server ?
Can you share a link to your zc_install folder ?

I checked my settings and did a fresh install with no luck.
I contacted my hosting and they have PHP 4.0, not the up to date version.
I'm trying to get them to upgrade.

I recently installed a store under a new domain name, from a back up of a store I had done previously (it had all the modules installed and configured). When i goto to log in at the admin the page is blank, meaning the box with user id and password is not there. Its just blank! Am I missing something in the configuration! thanks

never mind. Found it in admin/includes/configure.php

Hi,
I also can not see the admin login box when I type in
http://www.mydomain/zencart or
http://www.mydomain/zencart/admin
What did you find in your configure.php file that enabled you to solve it? I looked at that file and did not find an answer. I'd really appreciate any help!

A blank page suggests a syntax error in one of the many PHP files.

The most common cause is adding quote marks into files when making edits.
The second most common cause is extra spaces before the beginning <?php or after the closing ?> marks, or double-spaced files.
Then you get into having to check for files that didn't upload properly, or were missed entirely.
