Two zencart installations on same server

Hi,

I have a retail and whole sale site on the same server. 2 different zencart installations. One in public_html another in public_html/ws/ .

I copied all overrides and template files from retail site (public_html) to whole sale site (public_html/ws/) to kick start my whole sale site. I copied all of the database of the retail site to a new one and linked it to new wholesale site.

I ran fix_cache_key.php and made sure everything was pointing to the right folder for the wholesale site.

The problem I am having is that when I click on a link on my wholesale site it goes to page not found on my retail site. When I place my mouse over any link on my whole sale site I can see it points to the right link. But when I click on it it says page not found.

Anyone has any ideas of what I am doing wrong?

did you update your configure.php files too ?

Yes. I updates both config files in admin/inludes and includes folder. I ran a regular zencart installations and did not overwrite the config files when I updated the files.

You might take a look in the configuration table of the database. Did same as you on one site and found there were items embedded in the old database that did not get updated when transferring.

I did look through the database configuration table to see any old links are there. Did not find any. Did search on it too. I am confused why this would be happening. Also does the configuration table have databse entries for the site or admin?

My admin is functioning fine. I can add subtract products and do things without affecting my other zen cart site.

SInce admin is working, you might want to take another look at the includes/configure.php for the catalog that is not working. If it brings up the wrong data, could be pointed to other database.

Hi,

I have checked the config file. It seems fine. The problem is when I keep my mouse over the link I see the link points to the right file for the new site for eg: The products point to /public_html/wholesale/products rather than the old site /public_html/products . But when I click on the link it loads all sideboxes from /public_html/ and not /public_html/wholesale/

Also it gives a page not found page when I click on the link. Now the page not found is on the old site under /public_html/ so the links are updated to old link for eg: for products they show /public_html/products .

Not sure whether there are some database issues or just configuration issue. confused now.
