    Default Gift Certificate and Coupon Issue

    I have found that a customer can get double the coupon or gift certificate if they stay logged into their account. So basically if the had a GC for 5.00 they could add 10.00 in product to their cart and use the GC or coupon code than go back and enter the same code again for the other 5.00 off. Has anyone seen this issue before and is there a fix?

    What version of Zen Cart are you using?

    Can you reproduce this on demand on your site?

    I am using 1.3.7 and connot reproduce the results on demand, thanks for your help

    This happened to me yesterday. A customer logged in and used a coupon that was set up for her. Downloaded her purchases and then did another order and used the same coupon again. The coupon should not have worked because I had 1 time use per customer selected plus she maxed it out with the first order. All I can figure is that it happened because she never logged out. I asked her to try it after logging out and she couldn't use it then.

    Right now I'm running 1.3.6.

    shellmeisters are you able to reproduce this behavior on your old v1.3.6 Zen Cart?

    I just tested it and it tells me that I have used it the maximum number of times, 1 per customer...

    Very odd ...

    Should you come up with a pattern, please let us know ...

    I cannot reproduce this on v1.3.7.1

    Also, what are your exact coupon settings and restrictions, if any ...

    And did you test with the same exact products etc. as the customer used on both orders?

    It was a $20 Coupon, 1 per customer, User per coupon left blank.

    I have the user tracking mod in my cart...she completed the 1st order at approx. 17:46 and started the 2nd at about 18:04.

    No...i didn't test the same products.

    I also wanted to add that there were no restrictions.

    This customer's order that this happened with...she did have a $2.40 balance after using her coupon the 1st time so maybe going to paypal and coming back has something to do with it??? I couldn't test it that way as I only have the paypal accout that my store is connected to.
