Default Meta Tag Title not showing after site move

    Hello

I have recently had my zen cart installation copied from one domain to a new domain.

Since then my meta tag title is not working, my browser only shows the domain name.

It was working fine on my old domain but I cannot seem to get it work with the new. I have been through the obvious files, compared the files from both domains but nothing seems to be out of place or incorrect.

    Can anyone help?

    Thank you

    Have you edited includes/languages/english/meta_tags.php?

The meta_tags content is supplied from the language file mentioned earlier.
Perhaps your upload of the edits wasn't successful?
Perhaps you have a custom folder under your english folder, which is overriding your master file?

    Thanks for your reply.

I have a meta_tag.php file in my custom folder under English. This is where I have changed my title, tagline and keywords.

The master meta_tag.php file is in its original place with the original settings, I have not touched this.

    Is this what you meant?

I have checked the permissions on this file and all is ok. I don't know what else to check

    Thank you

does it make any difference if you delete and re-upload the custom meta_tags.php language file ?

    Thanks for replying

No it makes no difference at all, I have already tried deleting and reinstalling the meta_tags.php in both my custom folder and my master folder.

Well, then it's time to compare the "new" fileset with the "old" fileset before the copy.

    http://www.zen-cart.com/wiki/index.p...Obscure_Issues

Something's been missed or busted in the process of the copy.

Either that or there are server-side problems causing the override files to not get identified or loaded.
Or else you've installed/customized something else on the site that's busted the normal functionality.
Or else you've put custom language content into the wrong override folder instead of the one matching the name of the currently-active template.
