Slow parse on 1and1 hosting - 15+ seconds to load home page!

Zen Cart has been running really slowly on 1and1 servers lately and I've heard that it could be the SQL server that we're on.
If i create a new DB it does place me on a different server (which is hopefully hosting less DB's than the current one)
I've done everything on the optimization suggestions and i'm still getting 15 second wait times to load the home page.
here's the parse results for a product:
Parse Time: 9.295 - Number of Queries: 203 - Query Time: 8.946520131073
Here's the parse results for the home page:
Parse Time: 11.251 - Number of Queries: 253 - Query Time: 10.914201716675

Does this make sense? 1AND1 has been no help whatsoever pointing the finger on Zen Cart.

So the question is: Should I migrate my store to a new mySQL DB (hence a new server) OR is there something else that could be causing this issue.

Changing databases is not the issue ...

Your server appears to be running slow ...

Contact your hosting site and ask that you be moved to a better optimized server that is not so overloaded as your site is a ... er ... umm ... dog ...

Have you an URL that we can peek at to see if there is anything else obvious that might be causing this?

I'm also running ZenCart on 1and1 and experiencing the same issue (slow parse time 15-20 seconds). As usual, 1and1 are saying that "everything is ok at their side...." The problem started about 2 weeks ago or so...

I just noticed that database Query Time is an issue, so I suspect they have problems with their mySQL servers...

Parse Time: 20.688 - Number of Queries: 458 - Query Time: 21.029207981094

I found a solution, at least for now...
Just backup your mySQL database and create a new database in 1and1 control panel. It will be created on a different server. Then upload your backup to the newly created database and change database settings in configure.php file.
My new timing is:
Parse Time: 0.485 - Number of Queries: 458 - Query Time: 0.34646584793091
Which is 40 times faster than it was on older mySQL server.
