Default Going on holiday: Hide the add to cart button

Say for example I am going on holiday for two weeks and don't wish to come back to a load of orders etc, is there any way I can de-activate the add to cart button whilst I'm away.

I realise there is a DOWN FOR MAINTAINANCE option, but that seems to disable the entire site more or less.

I still wish for website visitors to be able to view all the products etc, but not being able to add anything to their shopping cart and hence buy anything.

    Is this possible?

If so, I will put a short note on the homepage saying the shop is temporarly shut for two weeks.e

Switch your Store status to a ShowCase ... this changes everything so nothing can be purchased ...

Maybe add a banner saying Closed for the Holidays ...

I have the opposite problem. My add to cart button is not showing up and I wonder if someone could tell me where to find the code for it to be sure it it set to show.

Thanks, Ajeh, I just found that in another thread. I had my store set to showcase with prices since I will have only one of each item. I thought that certainly would have had checkout boxes, but changing it to a normal store made the add to cart show up.

Do you know where Zen stores the image for the little "sold out" button? I would like to substitute that with my own image for sold items, if I can find the image. I haven't been able to find it.

A simple click right on the image will give you a clue ... as would a view source ...

Be sure to use your templates and overrides for this ...
