    Default Featured Product Frustration

    I'd like to change my featured products but I'm having some difficulty.

    When I Catalog>Featured Products I see the three products I have featured and the New Product button.

    When I click the New Product button I get a new screen with a drop down box of products listed. However, not all products are listed and I can only select from the items in the drop down box.

    How do I add items to this drop down box so that they can be selected as featured products?

    Featured Products do not include Products that are already set as a Featured Product ...

    Featured Products do not include Products that are Document General ...

    Ok. I guess I'm confused then, how do I set a product as a featured product?

    Any Product not already marked as a Featured Product or as the Document General Product type will be in the list ...

    If not ... you have something miss configured ...

    Check in the Catalog ... Product Types ... are all the Product Types marked as Add to Cart Yes? ... other than Document General, that is ...

    I have the same problem. None of my new items show up in the featured products drop down list either. The only products that are there are some of the sample products.

    I believe you when you say something is mis-configured to cause that, but I don't know what that is. I checked on the things you mentioned in your last post, and my products are in the general products category, are addable to the cart, and do indeed show up in the cart when I run simulations.

    Anyone know how it could be that the products don't show up in the featured products drop down? I sure can't find it.

    Check in the Catalog ... Product Types ... that all product types can be added to the Cart except Document General ...

    Yes, I did that. All have "Y" except the document type under "Add to Cart".

    How many Products do you have?

    How many are already setup as Featured Products?

    What are their Product Types?

    Ok, I'm handled now. My products were in the drop down the whole time. It's just that the drop down object was so compressed that there was no room for the slider to move. I would drag the slider up and see the top of the list, and drag it slightly down, and be at the bottom of the list, but there were lots of products in between that i didn't see, including my new ones.

    Sorry about that.
