Coupon Bug. (100% certain items only) not collecting the remainder.

The goal:
100% off products A, B, C. (all my products are downloadable.)

The bug:
Coupon gives 100% off A, B, C
but if products D, E are also added
The remaining total due shows on invoice, but zen does NOT kick them to paypal to collect the funds, it just processes the order.

My specs
Zen Cart 1.3.7
PHP Version 4.4.6
Payment Modules installed: Paypal, Zen Freecharger

The Coupon Settings

Minimum 0.00
1 Customer
1 Use
zone restriction: NONE

Have tried THIS FIX but it didnt work.

I've googled, searched, and read until I think my eyes will bleed. LOL...
Any help appreciated.

You might try upgrading to:

Then install remove all PayPal ... Install all PayPal ... Remove what you are not using ... Reconfigure what you are using ...

See if that helps correct this with that fix that was posted as well ...

Done as suggested, still not fixed.
Additionally,

It seems if they coupon is say for $32 only good on product A, B, and C.

They check out with only A,B which doesnt HIT the $32 total, only $15 of the coupon available....
AND they get other things products e,g,f
it shows the balance due, but doesnt send them to paypal.

Is it not recognizes it SHOULD send them to paypal, becuase they arent using the total of the coupon?

If I give a $5 off coupon, and they choose a $7 product
it DOES kick them over...
but if they choose say a $3 product (allowed) plus a $2 something else, it doesnt.

which A,B,C do equal $32....
but I have customers selecting only A and B and then shopping for MORE, which is what every store owner wants right, lol...
anyway, its when they pick the more stuff, without hitting the total of the coupon thats not taking them over...

Which PayPal are you using?

You have the settings for 1 use for 1 customer meaning this coupon can only be used exactly 1 time and never again ...

What happens if you use Check/Money Order ... does it work?

we do not accept check or money order. we are a paypal ONLY store. as stated in post one, when I listed what payment modules were installed.

this coupon is set to 1 and 1.

I have about 30 of these issued each with its unique CODE.
each month they allowed ONE USE and the allowable product changes.
Each month the uses per customer increases by ONE

its how I know when their membership is over.

if my shop actually slows down, I may try it, but I have no intention of having CHECK available when there are 30 folks in there shopping. Can you say "bounced check fees" lol...

Geesh...
1. There will be no check fees if you cancel test order.
2. Zen Cart developer asked you politely to test a specific configuration (test another payment module to remove Paypal out of the picture) so she could troubleshoot the problem for you. It's called deduction Watson.
3. If you cannot put your store in maintenance mode for one minute to test then you should install a parallel shop for testing purposes.
4. If you can't do one of these then it is assumed you would rather live with your issue and don't want any further free assistance.
