Default Credit Card errors? rejected due to AVS

So we've had some orders come in. Most without a hitch but I just received 2 emails from people trying to use the card and getting error messages.
AVS Mismatch, address does not match card.
They both claim it should work.

Is there a setting I should check for this? Is it indeed an error in configuration?

    Oh, I'm Authorize.net

Which authorize.net module are you using?
What version of Zen Cart are you using?

You probably need to talk to your authorize.net account rep for assistance on setting the desired AVS processing criteria on your account. Their tech support people should be able to determine which part of the address failed.
Keep in mind that the AVS checks are done by the bank, not by authorize.net, and are simply passed along. If your account settings are configured to reject bad-address cards, and a card fails an address check, then what you described is to be expected.

Thank you for your prompt response

    I am using Authorize.net AIM
    Zencart v. 1.3.7.1

I did put in an email to the Authorize.net rep previously. Am awaiting a reply.

So far I'm only aware of a few of these occurances but may be more that aren't notifying me.
It seems to be only about 10% so far. All other orders are going smoothly.

Is there a way to see transactions that have been attempted but not accepted?

Yes - in your authorize.net merchant terminal, you can see all activity. So can their tech support people.

I noticed in my merchant account settings there is a box marked under REJECT IF......
    Non US Card Issuing Bank

Could this be the problem? Would unchecking it leave me at a security risk?

In speaking with the Authorize.net rep we discovered it was in fact my Address Verification Security Settings weren't set appropriately to accept international cards.

    Hopefully this resolves the issue.

Thanks for the help Dr. Byte!
