Default Preventing Children from placing orders

With all the new laws out there, our organization needs to protect itself from underage children placing orders on line with credit cards. Is there a way to possibly add a check off box disclaimer on the checkout page ? Or does someone have another thought for having customers check a box as to whether they are of age to place an order on line with a credit card and where you might place this within ZenCart?

In most jurisdictions card issuers won't issue cards to people who are underage as any resulting debts are unenforceable, so possession of a card is sufficient evidence that they are not underage. Unless of course it's not their card they're using, in which case a tick box doesn't really seem like much protection.

That said, this FAQ entry might prove useful.

You can turn on the Agree to Terms/Privacy on either or both the Create Account and Checkout sections. See your Admin> Confirguration> Regulations.
