i need to remove "sales text goes here" in stylesheets

Hi.

i didnt need the "sale text goes here" message so i simply deleted the text in english/index.php ( i think). Anyway this worked fine in firefox although when i view my site in IE the layer still seems to be there.

If you view my site in IE you will see what i mean.

can someone please tell me where i can remove the whole item?
