Default Upgrade from 1.30 to 1.37.1

I use Bluehost as my Webhost. If I hit the upgrade button in their Fantastico control panel, What will happen? will it remove any images I added? I set this up a year ago and I don't want to spend hours redoing what is there. This is why I am afraid to upgrade anything in Zen Cart. The site is http://www.portlandwinegear.com/shop

    Please let me know. Thanks

Now is a good time to learn how to properly do a Manual Upgrade on Zen Cart ...

The auto install is nice when testing things out, but once you have a real shop you really want more control over this ...

There is a lot of information for this on the forum, wiki and tutorials/FAQs in addition to the /docs that comes with Zen Cart ...

    Also a search on:
    /new_shop

would locate an abundance of threads with different levels of explination on how to upgrade utilizing a new directory and new database so that you can "practice" upgrading before attempting to touch the Live Shop and ensure all is working ...

Ajeh's right ... and I'll just add that using the Fantastico "upgrade" will likely break your site. In fact their own upgrade instructions tell you to *only* use it if you haven't customized your site files yet.

Manually upgrading gives you the required control over the changes.

And ... ALWAYS be sure to make backups of your files and your database BEFORE beginning any upgrade or installing contributions or making edits.

Where is the link to /new_shop. I did a search and I don't get anthing that looks like that.

What if I don't upgrade? the shopping cart is working, so why bother?

Also my client setup a Dynamic Solution credit account and it uses ECI-PAY for a Gateway. somebody said that Zen Cart doesn't use it or there is not script for it. Is this true? If that's the case I'll have to use another shopping cart program.

If you have links that explain the upgrading please send the links so I can read it.
