Remove Sponsor sidebox

Hello,

I have the sidebox "Sponsor" showing up on the both the left and right side of my pages. I can't seem to find where they are in the admin section to turn them off.

What am I not seeing?

for newbies, this does nothing! I've turned off nearly all boxes and still the "sponsor" boxes remain. A bit of respect for some of us is in order. Just stating the page for where this can be done is not enough.
Removing the content from these boxes is another problem that does not seem to be addressed in a comprehensible manner.

I was searching for an anwer to this question when I came upon this thread. (newbie here too)
I went to Tools->Layout Boxes Controller and managed to get them to go away.
I don't know which template you're using but in my case they were named "banner_box_***".
I set both the left/right and the single column status to off. Maybe that's what did the trick?

The single column status is irrelevant (not functional) for all but the search header sidebox.

Cynical? My comments were strictly factual, with no hidden agendas. "Banner_box_whatever" is indeed the form of the names for Sponsor and similar sideboxes. I probably didn't know that offhand four years ago.

You can turn any sidebox off in Layout Boxes Controller; if one is still on and you don't know its name, it would seem reasonable to keep trying them until you find the one that works, rather than assume it is not there.
Many people, especially newbies, would not know that the single column setting does not currently do anything for most sideboxes.

I turned off all of the banner options. Banner_box, banner_box_all, and banner_box2. It worked once those were off.
