Manufacturers URL doesn't update!?!

I've just added a manufacturer to my database (admin>catalog>manufacturers). The manufacturers name and image path/location are saved into the database (as expected), but the URL isn't.

When editing the new manufacturer the URL field appears blank.

I'm running Zen Cart version 1.3.7.1. Is this a know bug (if so, can a moderator move this to the Bug Reports forum please)?

How are you entering the URL?

I've tried copying a URL from my address bar and then pasting it into the manufactures URL field. The URL looked like this: http://www.example.com.

I've also tried typing in www.test.com.

Both times the manufacturers field failed to update.

What add-ons are you using?

I cannot repeat this error in either the upcoming v1.3.8 nor v1.3.7.1 nor v1.3.7 ...

Also enter the URL as:

http://www.some_domainname.com

I have the same problem with the above URL.

The following contributions are currently installed:

- about_us_page_1.3.0.1
- column_layout_grid_for_product_listing_1.3.61.3.7
- easypopulate_3.0.3_inc_patch1
- image_handler__for_vx_2.0v0916
- scriptsremove_example_store_files_dos_and_shell_0.01
- world_zones_v2.0

It's not essential that I find a solution to this problem at the moment... It's just bugging me a little!

Ok, this is a little strange. I've just added a new manufacturer and this time the URL was correctly stored in the database.

For some reason, the first manufacturer record does not store any URL that I input!

I'll try deleting this manufacturerand adding it again. Maybe that will help. :|

Could you be a tad more vague?

This post is over 4 months old ... let's get some specifics such as:

1 what is the problem

2 what version of Zen Cart are you using

3 clean install or an upgrade

4 how did you install ... how did you upgrade
