Default Can Customer ID validate Product Categories?

I produce custom products for specific customers. 100's of customers and 100's of specific products and prices. Has anyone come up with a way to match a customer ID with a Category so that when that customer logs in, they can only see the items in their category? I don't care if they see the non-custom standard categories on my site. I have looked at "Hide Category" "Group Pricing" "Wholesale Pricing" and none of them can handle this option. This also needs to be completely hidden from all other visitors. I am new to Zen Cart and this is my first post.
I was thinking a validation between customer id and category id or product id.
    Or
A field in the Category or Product item Setup that you could enter a customer id number so that only that customer can see that item or category.

Can any one of you masterminds figure this out?

I think I found the answer myself.

    Look at:
"Display Specific Categories for a logged in Customer Only"
in Free Software Add Ons which was just added on 9/18/10
    by Andrew Anderson.
I have installed it with "hide categories" and it worked great.

This add-on will allow you to add a category and select which specific customer you would like that category to belong to.
Only that specific customer will see that category. If you use the hide category add on with it, then no one else will be able to see the products in that category. Your customers will also have the ability to see all the unprotected categories on your site.

You can now add specific products for specific customers in a customer category folder that only that customer can see.

Default Re: Can Customer ID validate Product Categories?

Hi, I experince that the customer id is incorrect when I add customer to a category.
It adds +2 to every customer id.
So if I assign a category to customer called steve, id 82, in the database the customer id for that category is 84, meaning that the customer is not able to see the category after all.
So I have to manually edit the database table every time.

    Anyone experienced this problem?

    Endre
