PayPal IPN not showing description

I having the exact same issue as was explained in this thread,

However the only addon I have is the paypal verified side box. The 2 files mentioned are from the origional install on 8/16.
I had my first order today and it didn't have anything in the description. The only way I found out what was ordered was by emailing the cust.
Test orders shows the description if the money order option is chosen.
I also noticed it didn't reduce the quantity of the product ordered or send me a email that there was a order made. But it does both with the money order.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Replace your /includes/functions/whos_online.php with this one:

That got rid of the error but now I don't see any order come up at all.
the money was in paypal but no record of the order in zen.

It won't recover history. It should just prevent the specific error you mentioned from happening again.

If the order is in a pending status in PayPal, then when it converts to a paid order, it *might* push the order forward.


If you want to use a crude method to extract the product numbers from the order, you could grab the PayPal Sessions Viewer from the downloads area and install it. NOTE: That tool will show you ALL attempted PayPal orders ... INCLUDING those that WERE ABANDONED ... and thus never paid for. So, don't treat it as a "yay, look at all the extra sales" resource. It is *only* an aid to find out what a client had ordered when the IPN failed fatally due to a code problem.

i had another friend buy a 1 cent item, and i didnt recive an order for it even after i accepted it in pay pal.

I tried the PayPal session addon and it says:
displaying 7 records..
then a portion of the first one up to the cartid=>
then shows nothing else. and i have to re login to get back to any admin page.
just my luck....
