Gift Certificate order cancellation

I'm configuring a ZenCart powered website for a client and have stumbled across something strange, i'm unsure if it's a bug with ZC or a bug with my config.

Customer orders gift certificate,
order is cancelled by admin,
gift certificate still requires releasing,
customer is still credited with gift certificate amount even though the order has still been cancelled.

it appears as though the gift certificate is not being cancelled even though the order has been cancelled and the product quantity has been restocked.

Also, a quick Q.
Gift certificate is setup as $9.0909 minus tax,
Customer pays $10.00 (including tax)
Customer is only credited for $9.0909 - this, (IMO) should be $10.00 - correct?

The crediting of a "released" gift certificate is normal.

We'll have to look at that tax-included situation a bit further.
