Is this compatible on 1.5.0?
Is this compatible on 1.5.0?
Yes, I have installed. BUT there is no intallation for the Admin panel. So you have to do this:
BEFORE intalling the SQL file add this line at the end:
INSERT INTO `admin_pages` (`page_key` ,`language_key` ,`main_page` ,`page_params` ,`menu_key` ,`display_on_menu` ,`sort_order`)VALUES
('configManufacturersList', 'BOX_CONFIGURATION_MANUFACTURERS_LIST', 'FILENAME_CONFIGURATION', CONCAT('gID=',@gid), 'configuration', 'Y', @gid);
Save the file and use it or copy all the SQL code and paste it in "Install SQL Patches".
Then you have to create a .php file.
Go to YOUR-ADMIN-FOLDER\includes\languages\english\extra_definitions and create the: "manufacturers_list.php".
Inside the file put the following code:
Save it and you are done...PHP Code:
<?php
define('BOX_CONFIGURATION_MANUFACTURERS_LIST', 'Manufacturers Listing');
?>
Hi
I have zen 1.5.3... Tried the fix for 1.5.0 to show in admin area, but when installing SQL fix, I get this error
WARNING: An Error occurred, please refresh the page and try again.
@Ocean,
try the fix mentioned in MiRN's post right above yours. That should do the trick.
Does anyone know how I would modify this so that after I choose my manufacturer the next page displays only the category icons which products of this manufacturer exist in. I hope that makes sense.
Currently I get a page with all products from that manufacturer and a drop down box where I can choose categories which have this manufacturer in it, so it looks like the system is doing the query to the database already. I just want an icon selection instead of the drop down and I don't want all the products listed.
Cheers
@edialedarb, what you describe would take quite a bit of customization to the product listing template files. If you know PHP, I would suggest taking a look at the files in the plugin and comparing them to the product listing templates (eg. tpl_modules_product_listing.php and header.php in the modules/pages directory), then make new templates as necessary. If you do not know PHP, I would recommend hiring a qualified developer to build this for you.
Hey, does anyone know how to change the number of columns? Mine show 4 cols and I wand 5 or 6.
Thanks!
I found it. the value is in the database. You can't fix this from the admin, you have to go into your database (through cpanel) if you know how to. If you don't understand this then DO NOT DO IT.
In table 'configuration' the number of columns is the configuration_key MANUFACTURERS_ALL_COLUMNS
With sites that have more than one language installed, this shows each manufacturer image for each language. So brand A shows 2 times with two languages installed. How can it be made to recognize the language that's being used?
