Free shipping for one catagory for USA & Canada only?

I would like to set up FREE shipping for just one of my catagories and for USA and Canada only.
Any advise would be great - thanks in advance!

This can get rather complex ...

There isn't anything built in for this type of Free Shipping ...

You would need to build a function to manage this category to know how much weight, price or item count is in the cart for these products but only when the zone is for the USA or CANADA ...

While it can be done, it would take quite a bit of coding to manage this ...

Thank you for your reply, being a newbie I don't do complex! Is it easy to set it up for just the USA. The most important thing is it is only for one catagory, I guess I could manually adjust the Canadian invoices as I don't expect there to be millions of Canadian customers - yet!
So just to reiterate FREE shipping for USA but just one catagory.

1 or a dozen categories still runs into the same issues for customizing the code ...

You would need to have a method of identifying these product such as the master_categories_id and being able to identify the appropriate charges or non-charges for only specific zones ...
