I need some HELP Please

OK I have been here for quite some time and have read and read and read. Yes even searched.

I have some questions and I need some help please.

I have read both here and at the wiki site that we should use the default and not the classic template.........

So I did just that.

I followed all directions to edit the css

now here are my questions:

1) The right hand side boxes I wish to have a border the same color of the left hand boxes but the coding in the css does not allow for this with the default template

and the boxes all touch each other and I wish for those to be seperate like the left side.

Can any one tell me how to fix those two things???

2) Changing the logo heading the directions say to do this:

ENGLISH for your language by default. These generic terms should be changed to the name of the template/language you are using.
By default Zen Cart uses header_bg.jpg for the name of this image, but you can use you own filename for the background image.

Using an image editor, create a new background graphic and save it to includes/templates/CUSTOM/images/your_header_image.???.
Now open your stylesheet.css and find or add the following code.

But the default css does not have that but only has this:

#logo, .centerBoxContents, .specialsListBoxContents, .categoryListBoxContents, .centerBoxContentsAlsoPurch, .attribImg {
float: left;
}

Should I just switch back to the classic or is anyone willing to help me fix this. I am sure I am missing some thing.

Before proceeding ANY further, you have to set up a custom template and not edit the default template. See the FAQs section on Customizing.

Yes I did that after my install as the directions stated.

For your custom template logo, in your custom css find this:

	background-image: url(../images/header_bg.gif);

Thank you I did that and also edited the default header page and now that one is fixed.

Now I am going to try to fix the right hand box issue I see, I do not know why the default template would have them all touching each other on that side but seperated on the left.

I fixed it!

I placed this code:

.rightBoxContainer {
border: 1px solid #bd8a9c;
margin-top: 1.5em;

above in between two other right box codes as shown below in my stylesheet.css (custom template):

h3.rightBoxHeading a:hover {
color: #FF0000;
text-decoration: none;
}

.rightBoxContainer {
border: 1px solid #bd8a9c;
margin-top: 1.5em;

.rightBoxContent {
background-color: #dee3de;
margin-bottom: 1em;
}

And now I have what I wanted both sides look the same.
As long as that does not mess up any updates then this pleases me.

Now on to learning some more.

No one do what I did above it is not right
It caused my footer information and banner to center left.
So I put things back the way I did not like them.

Now back to trying to find a way to fix this by learning.
