replace subcategory pics with html

Currently I have my store setup so that when user clicks on a category, the center column displays the subcategories pics. The subcategory pics consist of photos of representative product and description.

How would I replace the subcategory pics with html so that instead of pictures of text description it becomes actual text descriptions with a photo?

In your example the "text" is not text, but an image.

I must of not explained it correctly. Your point is exactly my problem. Instead of using images, I want to use html. This is to improve SEO and content management.

This will probably require custom coding, and you will probably have to pay someone to do it for you. I do not think this will have any influence on SEO whatsoever, so if this is your main reason for doing it, then don't waste your time.

You may be able to do something by adjusting this feature:-

ADMIN >>> CONFIGURATION >>> MAXIMUM VALUES >>> CATEGORIES TO LIST PER ROW.

Set this to 1.

Now, see if there are stylesheet settings that will allow you to align the images left and to place the category description text to the RIGHT of the image, rather than below it.
