I'm doing a test setup of Zen Cart on my local Linux Mint box.
Apache2.2
Mysql 5.0
PHP 5
Zen Cart 1.3.7
I've got everything running I think. When I go to http://localhost I get the zencart installer page. It's showing a red X and Mysql support is off. I installed all the components according to the instructions here
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ApacheMySQLPHP
with a few slight variations because of the updated Apache.
Any ideas why mysql support is off?

It would report MySQL as being unavailable if the mysql extension is not loaded in PHP

That makes sense
I'm trying to get it to load the extension. I went through the instructions under the Edit PHP Configuration to Work With MYSQL heading on that webpage. Does that look proper to you?
