    Rick,
Thank you for working this out! it's been the major stumbling block keeping me from building my new store with zen! Couple more needs to work out then I'm going to start wrenching on the code!

I'm glad you found the module useful.

By the way everyone, it works fine with the recent 1.3.8a release of Zen.

The shipping module is working great, however I have one feature request that may or may not already be available.

My customer wants to be able to display the shipping option for a delivery if the customer is within 10 miles of his business. If they are not, the option would not be valid except for in-store pickup.

Is this something that is possible or does someone know how this can be accomplished?

    Thanks

Hello -- My guess is that your best bet will be to focus on shipping according to zip code....

    Rick

Is there a way to have this run alongside the free shipping option?

I'd like to have the free ship box above still active and automatically checked once tehy reach "x" dollars like it is now. Below this will be vendor options (staticlist) which they could also check one to determine the vendor they prefer with the dollar value coded out.

Something in here links the 2 allowing only 1 box to be checked

    Thanks great plug.

    Hello Jimmy,

This would take a bit of programming. I'd start by taking a look at the code in this file:

    includes/classes/shipping.php

    Regards,
    Rick

    Thanks Rick

I used a workaround and simply changed much of the language used in your module and coded out the visual aspect of the free shipping module at checkout. So I get all the advantages of the shopping cart sidebox telling the customer when the order qualifies plus the supplier options all clearly defined.

Works for me perfectly with that modification.

This module was an essential part that I had been missing.

Thank you very much for it and your quick response.

Very cool, Jimmy. I'm glad the module worked out for you. Conceptually it is a very simple module, which is what seems to be its strength.

    Cheers,
    Rick

Hello. I am very happy with this module but I wonder if I could duplicate or set another list for different zones because I want to differentiate our rate for US and Europe, for example. Thank you in advance.

I'm using the module in a few carts exactly as you've described. Have you downloaded the most recent version? It contains staticlist and staticlist2 which are clones. There is information in this thread if you need to clone it so that you can run any number of lists in parallel, e.g., staticlist, staticlist2, staticlist3, staticlist4...and so on, each selectively displayed and available based on location.

...and I'm glad it's working for you.

    Cheers,
    Rick
