    Default Installing SSL logos

    Hi
By moderators permission (still required as do not want to duplicate the content)
    ****
somebody asked that how to install SSL logo (like comodo corner logo) so that it can be available on each and every page

Since we use comodo so they provide javascript code
the complete procedure is as (if your using comodo):

    1. copy the image that you have got from comodo to images directory.

    2. visit the URL of trustlogo which is send to you something like here

    3. Enter the path to image of comodo logo (www.yourwebsite.com/images/secure_site.gif) if you have placed image in images directory

    4. click load image

    5. A javascript code will be generated

    6. Open includes/templates/template_default/common/html_header.php

    7. copy the complete snippet code 1 and 2 and paste in this file between head and title tag

    8. Check your site and logo will appear

Please note there is sidebox available in download section for different logos if you want to implement then please use that .

My decission was to use this as did not wanted to increase page length.

Thanks for the post, nobody else cared.
Apparently this is geared to corner of trust logo, which I am not using.
I am attempting to install the credit card trust, which also installs from the same page.
No luck, if I paste generated code between head and title, nothing happens.
Other locations bring other errors, like site not showing at all, or logo showing at top left, and shifting the page down, when script is set to bottom right.
I guess I will have to contact their tech support.
One more caveat: you shouldn't be using template_default, but custom_template, or whatever you wish to call it.
    Your suggestiones are welcome.
    Thanks.

sorry for ignorance i thought it was logo no problem i think you want install that point to verify seal
sorry now a days there are so many seals that do not know which one is credit card trust seal
if it point to verify or any other seal then best solution get a blank side box installed and out the code in it

or wait till tomorrow will give you solution as now it is movie time

there are 2 pieces of code,

the first snippet goes into the /includes/templates/your_template/common/html_header.php

    the second goes into

    /includes/templates/your_template/common/footer.php
if you want it centered remember to put it in a <center></center> tag

thats all there is to it,

and te corner of trust logo should actually be part 1 in the html_header.php the second bit intpl_main_page.php

    Merlinpa:
Sorry but no, the two snippets are for corner of trust.
The credit card has only one snippet, and I don't know yet where to place it.
As explained, it throws errors in several places, and since I can only test live with this, I don't want to disrupt the site too much.
Also, I still can't figure out why there is no different code for SSL and non-SSL.
If I can get to the bottom of this, I might create a contrib for it, on the basis of Juxi Zoza's one for trust logo.
    Any help is highly appreciated.
    Thanks.

Where did you get the cc trust logo from,
the one I used to have for comodo had 2 snippets of code and it was installed in the 2 places I described,

as far as a switch since you have to call the information from their servers I guess you could use an if switch and put the non ssl code in and have it switch back and forth, but its just a lot easier to only have 1 snippet and use the SSL link for it

Thanks for staying on this thread and helping out.
I got the logo from completessl.com, the graphic we customized.
Actually, this wouldn't matter because the instructions are in the trustlogo site.
    http://www.trustlogo.com/support/
you have to scroll down and select credit card payments from the dropdown in step 2.
Actually, I will have to correct myself, there are three snippets of code: two in step 1 and 1 in step 2.
So my problem can be summarized in one word: where?
Please be so kind as to help out.
    Thanks in advance.

but if you will have more than one banner then what are you going to do as they will be displayed in random order or else you will have to classify in group and have to make static
best option sidebox else put the code in footer template file this will show your logo or whtever image it has to be but my opinion again go for side box down bottom so that tomorrow you can manipulate it according to your wish

Thanks for being in this thread, I agree that banner ads won't work.
I don't have time to test right now, but I will paste both code snippets in html_header.php and then 3rd. snippet in footer.php and test several placements, see what works best.
Otherwise, I will build a contrib for two sideboxes: one SSL and the other one non-SSL.
My site works with different sideboxes for different pages, just get into the secure area by starting to purchase any product and you will see that the sidebox changes.
If you can curtail my testing by letting me know exactly where the snippets go in html_header.php and footer.php, that would be much appreciated.
