    Did anyone seem to find a solution to this problem?
    I seem to be having a very similair problem.

    Receiving orders with "Direct Bank Deposit" as payment type.
    Customer ensures they used paypall express.
    Each customer was international.

    I can not seem to replicate the problem myself.

    I've been getting a similar problem on a clients website.

    When it was running Paypal Express as the sole payment method it worked flawlessly. Recently I've added a method where a customer can pay via a 30day invoice/purchase order, but only if they have been approved by being entered into a pricing group etc.

    Shortly after this went live I noticed some new orders in the zen-cart admin from people who hadn't been enabled to use this new payment method. I assumed it might of been this new invoice module causing it but all those customers on checking actually used paypal.

    I finally managed to replicate the problem myself last night, if a new customer uses any of the paypal express checkout buttons the problem seems to occur. The checkout phase appears to proceed as normal in the eyes of the user, but on return to the site (from paypal) the payment method had changed to "Invoice".

    I then tried to put through some orders on the store-site without using the Paypal Express Checkout Buttons, and I didnt have any of the same problems. The payment method on return to the store-site is PayPal and on completion of the order payment is taken and so forth.

    So if a user stays on the site and proceeds through the normal checkout process and then moves onto the Paypal site when directed its not a problem, but it's playing up when they use the Paypal Express Checkout Buttons.

    It's a real shame its agaisnt the T&C's to disable those damn buttons, I know I would like to at this point!
