displaying sub-categories

hey, i can't seem to get my subcategory listing correctly placed. i had the cart set up to show my subcategories stacked on the right side of the page, and i can not seem to figure out where nor how to do this. i have the admin>max values > cats per row set to zero which lined everything up wonderfully - until i added an image to each category page with the html editor and now all the categories appear below the image instead of on the right side of the page

i want

sub cat
i'v emodified the barebones templat but as you can tell i just dont know what i am doing beyond that.

Add this to your stylesheet.css:

.categoryListBoxContents img {float:left;}

As you state you added this via the editor - I doubt that the css recommendation will have the desired affect.

well, the site is not live yet, so i have attached a few screenshots to explain what my situation is,.. sorry i didn't think to do that in the first place.
here is a shot of how i have the subcategories stacked to the right - i have Categories To List Per Row [in max-values] set to null to achieve this.

then i added an image 'by hand' via the html editor as mentioned earlier. this simply moves all the subcategories downward.

so, what i really want is the category links stacked up along the right side of that image. all i can get now is aligned along the bottom of the image as seen in underneath03.jpg

since the image seems located correctly the suggestion to use .categoryListBoxContents img {float:left;} prolly won't help - although dagnabit, i sure don't know how to do the css.

i am also not clear if the problem is the css - although i imagine something must change at the code i pasted below - it may very well be a tables issue. maybe i need another column within the table which contains this ....

i just don't know.
for the moment i will see if bottom aligning the category links is ok and proceed to turn the site live - so ,maybe then it will be easier to diagnose.

It looks like you have the column grid module installed and this affects the product listing. If this is not your issue then a link to a page where you have the issue
