How to put more than one photo on a product

Add this to your stylesheet to get rid of the "larger image' text:

.imgLink, .imgLinkAdditional {display: none;}

That will bring the additional images up tight to the main image, so add this for some space:

#productMainImage {padding: 0 0 10px 5px;}

I just wanted to thank everyone here--I was having the same trouble, and from this thread, figured out I just needed to add:

#productAdditionalImages {
width: 200px;
}


to my stylesheet, and it moved my 2 additional images over AND it moved the "larger image" text underneath it. I was pulling my hair out over both of them.

Ive been following all this advice ( which is wonderfull thank you!) and ive gotten my additional images next to my main product image, but the additional images sit a little higher than the main image, and the product name and description start in the center of the page, instead of below the main image to the left. Can anyone help me with this ? this is how it looks right now

Hi there,

I have read this thread, and just can't get more than 1 image at my product listing!

What do they mean here:

"From the Admin, you edit a product and specify an image file called:
a_bugs_life.gif
and put it in the
/images/dvd directory via the drop down."

Which drop down menu?? Where??

In admin >Catalog > Categories/Products > edit product > bottom of edit page, where it says upload to [Main directory], pick [dvd] from that dropdown.
Note: you only need to use the /dvd/ subdirectory for dvd products. Most of the time, you should use the main /images/ directory for the product base images, as this will be simpler to learn on.

Then you upload (by ftp) the medium and large images to /images/medium/ and /images/large/.

There is a setting to activate additional images in admin. It should be on by default, but yours might have gotten turned off.
Catalog > Product Types > Product-General > edit layout > Show Product Additional Images

I'm having similar issues.

Using 1.3.8a, and have added the images according to the suggested way, but I can't find the 'switch' eg 'Show Product Additional Images'.

Is it located elsewhere in 1.3.8a ? (I had IH2, but i have turned that off.)

Is there another add on for Additional Images..?
