Step 3 of Installation is blank!!!!

Hi,

I am trying to install zen cart to a new server but after agreeing to terms and pressing continue I am getting a blank screen, the address bar shows http://mysite.com/zc_install/index.p...nguage=english

I have tried adding php_flag safe_mode off to my .htaccess (as suggested in http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=54802), but that doesn't work, or I'm doing it wrong.

Here's the .htaccess I have :-

php_flag safe_mode off

Also tried a .htaccess with just

php_flag safe_mode off

in it, but that makes everything disappear so all I get are errors.

Have you seen this thread: http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=80094 ?
Sounds pretty similar to what you are saying. Perhaps it is an FTP issue too??
