php - help, please!

I cannot "find these files on the server" because I don't know how or exactly where to look.

/catalog/includes/dist-configure.php
/catalog/admin/includes/dist-configure.php
Can someone give me a simple step-by-step answer? I am so tired of hearing how "easy" Zen cart is to set up and yet I am having trouble almost from the beginning.

Are you talking about a local install or a website??? dist-configure.php are standard zencart programs which come "out of the box". If you've copied all the files correctly then they should be in the folders indicated.
