Cannot access zencart over local network

Hi.

Wondering if anyone can help with this.
I have installed zencart locally on my OSX (Tiger) machine and can load the site just fine using the IP address given in the personal web sharing preference pane.

But, when I want to test on my windows machine over my local network I can't get the pages to load. I have other, regular HTML sites in the local 'Sites' folder (that also contains the zencart root directory) that load fine. I just can't get the zencart site to load.

Any ideas?
Probably not specific to zencart but couldn't find any other references.

Assuming your Mac's IP is 192.168.1.103:

a) Can you see the webserver from your Windows box
(http://192.168.1.103 should give you the Apache default page)
If not, check the firewall on the Mac to be sure http/port 80 can pass through.

b) Does your includes/configure.php file say
define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://192.168.1.103');

c) You say you can load other pages - are you sharing your disk
using Samba or are you actually using the webserver?

I can see the Apache webpage over the network.

My configure.php file has the server defined by my computers short name:
define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://NAME-computer.local');

I will try changing the above to the IP address tonight.

As for Samba or webserver, not sure, how do I check?
I use a program called Dave to share volumes to my PC. I know when I install it, it has told me to stop some services so it can work.

Okay, tried changing the configure.php to my IP address, still no luck.

I am using the webserver to serve the web pages, which works fine for my html sites.

Solved.

In Safari I can just type in http://192.168.2.2/~COMPNAME/SITEDIR
and it will load the site.

When using the same address in IE on windows it would not load but when I added /index (.php did not work) to the address it loaded.

Interestingly, I just tried Firefox with the same method as Safari and it worked.
Should have realized it would be IE and tried Firefox first......
