[Not a Bug] Products_options_values_text_id

In the configuration table, I see the value of PRODUCTS_OPTIONS_VALUES_TEXT_ID as 0. However, the value of PRODUCT_OPTIONS_TYPE_TEXT is 1 so shouldn't PRODUCTS_OPTIONS_VALUES_TEXT_ID also be equal to 1? Or am I not understanding the purpose of PRODUCTS_OPTIONS_VALUES_TEXT_ID.

Changing PRODUCTS_OPTIONS_VALUES_TEXT_ID to 1 results in the word "TEXT" showing up in the checkout cart if the product had a filled in TEXT attribute. I'm guessing this was done to truncate a potentially long text value in the cart???

Anybody have any ideas as to if PRODUCTS_OPTIONS_VALUES_TEXT_ID should really be 0 or 1 and what the larger implications are?

I'm new and came across this as I was trying to add a new type of product_option. Thanks

The value 0 is put in by default for management of the TEXT attribute ... that belongs there ... do not remove it ...

PRODUCTS_OPTIONS_VALUES_TEXT_ID
PRODUCT_OPTIONS_TYPE_TEXT

two different animals but related ...

If you mix up values there will be a problem ...

Browse the table: products_options_types

That shows the values for each Option Name type ...

Browse the table: products_options_values

Notice the first one has TEXT set to 0 that is physically set by use to that value ...
