Edit Home Page

What is strange to me is I searched for all the define_main_page.php and I renamed them all to define_main_page.old and my wesite still shows “home” There are no products to list in this category.

With regards to Misty's suggestion: Not sure how to the default Classic template. I can see that there is a folder called Classic where I created the Lize folder earlier in includes/languages/english/html_includes, with a define_main_page.php file in it. How should I change this?

To change your zencart store template to Classic, log in as admin,
go to Tools, Template selection, click Edit button, from dropdown list choose Classic template..

I changed the template to clasic and still if I edit the main page, the text does not display on the home page? Any other ideas that I can try to fix this? Thanks for all the help!

Without actually looking at your files, via ftp, and trying myself,
via your zencart admin, cannot suggest anything else.
One of zencart mods may be able to offer further help.

I'm bleary-eyed trying to find answers on customizing a Zen template effectively.

I found this post and would like to know if someone can explain the difference between

• includes/languages/english/index.php,
• includes/templates/template_default/templates/tpl_main_page
• includes/languages/english/html_includes/define_main_page.php

and which of these should be used to edit the Home page of a Zen cart site.
