    Default Installing Sales Report module

    Hi, folks.

This is probably an incredibly lame question, but please suffer me.

I want to install the Sales Report add-n module. In the installation instructions, it says to "Copy the entire "admin" folder to the root of your shop". I believe the root of my store is /var/www/html/store. If I'm right, there's already and admin folder (more precisely, directory) there. Thus, the only way to copy the Sales Report admin there would be to overwrite the existing admin directory. So, I must be wrong as to where I need to copy the Sales Report admin directory to. Would someone be kond enough to tell me what I need to do?

    Many thanks.

    Diggy

    The instructions are correct.

If you are using a good FTP program (Filezilla for example) uploading the 'admin' directory on top of the current 'admin' directory will only add or replace files that are in the mod you are trying to install.

It won't completely replace all the files currently in admin.

To have that 'warm fuzzy' feeling before modding your shop, do a full backup of all your files before changing stuff.

Thanks, kiddo! The warm-and-fuzzy actually comes from getting great support like this. Much appreciated.

help question Installing Sales Report module on v1.3.7

This contribution says it is for sure safe for v1.3.6

    http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?ma...products_id=83

Anybody have it running on v1.3.7 ?

Or, even better, this modified version:

    ZenCart Sales Report State Filter

    http://damonparker.org/blog/2006/06/...-state-filter/

All of which, I suppose, leads to the actual obvious question of how one can be sure if a contribution safely spans versions.

    Thx
