    Default USPS Shipping Questions

    I am new to zen cart so forgive me if this has been asked a hundred times. I searched the forums and couldn't find what I was looking for. We have Zen Cart installed and got are USPS web ID. Shipping still did not work. It didn't do anything. No error on screen it just didn't show any rates.

    Then I found the patch and applied that. But we are still getting the same result. No shipping information? Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?

    Is your WebTools account set to "production" or is it still a test account?

    I called USPS customer care and they said they moved us on to the production servers. How long does that take? I tried it after I got off the phone and still nothing. When you select estimate shipping and put in your state and zip and hit update it just come back with nothing.

    It's usually very quick. If they said it's moved, it should be moved.

    What do you mean by "nothing"? A blank page? No quotes? An error message?

    What other shipping modules do you have enabled?
    What "zone" have you selected in your USPS shipping module? If it's not '--None--', why?
    The only other module is table rate. And by nothing I mean it only shows the table rate price nothing for USPS. And yes zone is set to none.

    If you're getting no error message, it suggests that the module isn't enabled.


    What happens if you actually start a checkout? What do you see for shipping choices on the Checkout_Shipping page?

    I have 'enable USPS shipping' set to True

    Her is what I get when I go to checkout

    We are unable to find a USPS shipping quote suitable for your mailing address and the shipping methods we typically use.
    If you prefer to use USPS as your shipping method, please contact us for assistance.
    (Please check that your Zip Code is entered correctly.)

    Did you set your zip code in Admin->Configuration->Shipping/Packaging?

    I removed the module and reinstalled and it is working now.

    Dear Sir:
    I remove and reinstall again but stiil have the same problem,
    I set up the zip code in the configuration, and I update to the Nov package for USPS. May I know on the first box which to put

    Enter the USPS USERID assigned to you for Rate Quotes/ShippingAPI.
    In this field under the USPS setup I need to put the USPS ID whatelse I need to put into here. Anyone have a solution for this is great appreciates.
