Server error on admin section under configuration settings

Im stumped. Site has been up for a year am using 1.3.7 hosted with camelot hosting. Everything works except when i go to the admin section and click on the configuration tab if i click on anything in that drop down i get the folllowing error:

Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.


Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I reinstalled the admin section from a fresh zencart download and adjusted the config files and am still getting the same error. I have checked the admin panel and the site and cannot find anything else that is messed up but that. The only thing i did about a month ago was reset the admin logs.

Have you put in a ticket with Camelot Hosting?

please make sure that you dont have any fioles or folders in the admin set to 777

folders need to be 755 and files need to be 644 or 444

this is whats causing your error

THANK YOU.... Totally fixed my issue. Now any idea how the settings could have gotten changed? Jsut out of curiosity.
