Default How do you encrypt the Zen database?

    Hi all,
How would one go about encrypting Zen's database? I am on a VPS and I have password protected my database (different password than my server access), but how can I encrypt it? Do I need to? I will be getting my site set up to be PCI compliant so I was just wondering if this was necessary and if so, how to do it?

    Thanks

    Short answer? No

    Easy answer YES

Long answer you need to rewrite calls to the data base.

Ok, how about this...can we just encrypt the traffic between our Zen Cart server and the MySQL server? We have a Zen Cart host but our database is on our internal network. The site works but we are concerned about the traffic between sites.

    Can this traffic be encrypted?

    Thanks!

Google this 'encrypted traffic between server and mysql server'
