No more Refunds or Partial Refunds.

Has anyone noticed that the refund and partial refunds are no longer an option in this latest version 1.3.8? Now you only get the Void Authorization Order but that only works if you have the express checkout to authorize only instead of doing the final sale.

Will the option of issuing a refund thru zen-cart come back like it was on 1.3.7.1?

Having upgraded to 1.3.8 today that was one of the things I noticed. Unfortunately I didn't spot it until after all my testing and going live with the system.

It is still possible to refund directly through paypal, but the previous way of doing it was much neater in terms of admin.

Hope it makes a reappearance!

Tell me about it.. refunding orders directly from the Admin area was something i loved zen-cart for lol.

Yes agree it's very useful feature. I just wonder if it's missing because of an
error or just removed for some reason.

We had weird problem with missing orders lately caused by 'die' statement
in the zen_mail function, so when this happens, no data received back from
paypal was saved to the database. When you check the order all the grey PayPal
fields were empty. Anyway, thats fixed now, but as side effect instead of
'Voiding Order Authorizations' on the right, there is 'Order Refunds'. So i was wondering
that maybe what is shown is switched based on the paypal responce, and the
refunds option don't work because of a bug ? Well just a thought.

JackX: is this only with Paypal? Do you use another processor as well? We have had a problem with cards being charged and no order coming through with our cc processor but not with Paypal.

We use only PayPal (Express Checkout). But the problem was caused by our
hosting company. They use MS servers and their mail servers are exceptionally
unstable. So it is very common thing that their mail servers don't work, or delay
mails for 30 minutes or more. Otherwise our ZenCart (1.3.8) works fine.

No i just commented a line in the PHP file (zen_mail function). For me is more
important to have the PayPal status saved, even if we don't get mail notification.
