Default Database needs patching to higher level (???)

    Hello,
I'm doing an upgrade (on test site). Everything seemed to go fine and is running smoothly but the only glitch I'm having is now that I've uploaded my old database info I get a warning message that says...........

"Your database appears to need patching to a higher level. See Tools->Server Information to review patch levels."

When checked it says my database is 1.3.7.1.
Do I need to rerun zcinstall again now that I've uploaded the old database info?

I'm not sure if I have been doing everything correctly but it seems to have gone pretty smoothly other than this.

Oh, I'm using Cpanel for database stuff if it helps.

    Thanks in advance

Can you let me know if you sorted things out.

I did a new install and then uploaded my old database and got the same error.

How do I get the patch to 1.38 from the 1.37.

Surely reinstalling the zencart wipes all the data. meaning I have to start again from scratch.

    Will

Fortunately I have installed it on a test folder, I am not brave enough to install it on the 1.37 active database.
Also is there a way that all the images can be uploaded again easily. It will be a pain to have to upload all of these again. It would really put me off upgrading.

Go back to the installer and upgrade the database.

I tried that about 6 times now.
I keep getting a "HTTP 500 Internal server error."
If I select "Done Upgrading" and login then I get the same error as mentioned earlier in this thread.
What file did I forget to upload?

    Thanks

What's your server's errorlog saying when these 500 errors appear?

Use your hosting control panel to access the error logs ... or ask your hosting company how to check them. Every host is different. I can't tell you how to do it for *your* server specifically.

I'm also having problems with this. I run the update from the zc_install folder and select update database but I just get a blank screen.

I have MySQL 5.0.45-community-nt. Might this be a problem?
