credit card payment option selected as default

Hi,
Can someone help me, I want to make the credit card payment radio button selected as default when the customer places an order, then they can change it if they want. At the moment, no radio button is selected as default.

In v1.3.7 and newer, all the built-in payment modules will auto-select if the customer starts typing in a CC number in a CC field.
Thus, there is no need to preselect a default.

I'm using the Virtual Merchant credit card moduel, and it doesn't have the code for this built in.

I would like to be able to either pre-select the credit card option, or would like to copy the code that is causing credit card to be selected when someone starts typing in the credit card box.

Can someone help me find the code that does this?
