    Default paypal & order no

    I have a strange bug since a few days....
    PayPal orders are completed fine and when customer is redirected to checkout_success, he (in this case ME) sees the order number of the previous order.
    Example: I check out and pay with OrderNo 2, but when paypal completed and redirected to checkout_success, I see the checkout confirmation of order No 1 with item of orderNo 1
    Also, no order confirmation is send to the customer, me or logged in the email archive...but is listed in the "customer orders"

    Any known issues, idea what could happen?
    PayPal was ok until now....

    That happens when PayPal's servers don't update your store with the updated order information.

    Huh... and that means that confirmation email will not be send either?.... because i just relaized that there are issues in how they display my email "you have send money to [email protected]" ... they still use my very old email i had with them 1 year ago...
    ... well, forgot to mention that this is the german account i have.

    Stupid... i will post to their developers

    Well, after several contacts with paypal they try to convince me that my php settings are wrong, SSL has not been enabled they say.
    But it is...it always was.

    Is it ok for you to post a log file of a transaction via PM as it contains my customer's data?
    So you could check yourself if all is allright on my side

    You're using v1.3.7
    Have you applied the PayPal Patch for v1.3.7? Or upgraded to 1.3.7.1?
    If not, you need to start by applying the latest patch:

    Yes, well....hmmm no!
    The new patches did the work and all is back in smooth service.
    Sorry for not looking for patches first, i promise i will do that next time a paypal failure accours.
    Thank you for this tip.

    Stupid question: What is the best way to be up to date of important code changes, patches etc?
    Is there a special part of the forum regarding this news?

    Critical announcements are made in the first forum section at the top of the forum main page.
    You can subscribe to be notified by email when a new topic is posted.

    Mostly it's just security or new release announcements there. The paypal patches weren't announced there though.

    Well,
    it seems that it don't work as smooth as i thought.
    I have a very strange situation here:
    I did test orders and received order confirmations when doing paypal payments using
    a) my 2 PayPal accounts
    b) a friend of mine PayPal account.

    In both cases all works as it should...payment goes through, order confirmation as well.

    But today i received several paypal orders from my customers.
    In these cases, i still don't receive confirmation emails, nor my customers do.
    So still the same issue.

    I can not follow this strange behaviour.
    I Have applied the latest patches, deinstalled and re-installed the module.

    PayPal developers last comment was :
    It seems that you have not proper configured SSL in your PHP installation. Please refer to PHP manual how to set up SSL.
    However, strange is that the transactions are happen anyway.
    The comments in your logfiles "..could not find matched txn_id...tehrefore is new to us" seems to be a bug from your ZC application, please consult ZC developers.
    I hope you have an idea for me
