USPS not working!

Hi everyone,

I just noticed that my USPS shipping mod is not working. It won't calculate the shipping anymore and when I try to go on to checkout I get this error message.

Sorry, we are not shipping to your region at this time.

Anyone have any ideas? I don't want my site to be down at this time of the year.

Yea, I wish I could take that post back after I did a search. I am looking at many posts right now where people have that problem. Haven't found an answer yet but I'm still looking.

Finally found out what the issue was. My wife had changed a product to have free shipping and the weight showed 0 pounds. When I tried another product everything worked fine.

This is the message I get when a customer lands on the checkout_payment page:

We are unable to find a USPS shipping quote suitable for your mailing address and the shipping methods we typically use.
If you prefer to use USPS as your shipping method, please contact us for assistance.
(Please check that your Zip Code is entered correctly.)

I tried everything: changed all the INTL methods to ALL caps like in the oscommerce, forced machinable to true, uninstalled reinstalled, went in myphpadmin etc... Still no luck. Damn!

If not 1.3.8, have you applied all the recent patches for usps?

this site is running 1.3.7

and we did apply the november patch

This may sound dumb to some people but maybe it will help someone like me (dumb ;)) I was having problems with trying to make a product "free shipping". I finally found out that I had to enable the free shipping mod (like I said... dumb). Once I enabled the free shipping mod, everything worked fine. So if you are having the same problem, try this.
