add a shipping date field

I am trying to add a date field on page ?main_page=checkout_confirmation. I want to know where the processing takes place for this page. I have the field in place, but cannot find the processing side to add the code there. I want this date appended to the comments and also added to the database as a separate field.

Where is the processing for this form? The variable receiving part and the query part?

I am not sure if you are trying to accomplish something similar as I did for some client who needed their clients to select a delivery date.

In the table "orders" I added a field called "order_delivery_date".
And made some modifications in:
\includes\templates\classic\templates\tpl_checkout_shipping_default.php
\includes\classes\order.php
\includes\modules\pages\checkout_shipping\header_php.php
\admin\includes\classes\order.php
\admin\orders.php
\admin\invoice.php
\admin\packingslip.php
and the accompanying language files.

There seems to be a good number of people looking for a contribution like this. Have you considered putting one together? I think it would a great addition to zen-cart.

Quite a bit of code, however. Have you put any thought into making a contribution for this? I mean, you have all the hard part finished! Perhaps doing so would help you keep track of the revisions and changes as zen cart continues in its development..
