Small Announcement

There is a new version of slimbox available on the downloads page I strongly recommend anyone currently using slimbox to upgrade as it contains a small but important bug fix and allows you to have permenant next and prev buttons if there are additional images, which seems to be something that people were very keen on. This makes it work properly in IE6.

Note: if you upgrade you need to reinstall the SQL patch as well as copy all the files over.

I have no idea. Aren't image maps a bit 1998?

I think that the answer is probably yes in principle, but you will need to do modify the js code, so perhaps no in practice.

You could always cut your image up into slices, so that it acts like an image map, then it will work ok.

I haven't used an image map in years, but the image I'm using is a circle made up of circles and slicing wouldn't work.

Great contribution!! I Love it!! I'm a new member of this community, and I'm from Italy, I have a couple of question: is there a way to change wording in the lightbox? I'd like to translate "page x of y" into italian, and the other question is, can I add a title/ caption to each image? A short description?

The answer to both of your questions is yes, although both require a little bit of programing.

Changing the "page x of y" into itallian is fairly easy. I will put the ability to do this in the next release.

The caption in the lightbox comes from the title text in the link, so you can set it to whatever you want. The hard part is that the text needs to come from somewhere. At the moment it is the name of the product. If you wanted it to be something else, that would probably mean modifiying the admin section and creating a new table in the database. It sounds like a lot of work, so I will probably steer clear for this one unless it seems like a lot of people want it.
